專題另一部默片來自德國的喜劇之王劉別謙，是他應(yīng)美國傳奇女星瑪麗碧克馥之邀到荷里活執(zhí)導(dǎo)的首部作品《風(fēng)流歌女》（1923）。同是曲折的愛情故事，大師靈巧優(yōu)雅的電影語言及自成一家的「劉別謙筆觸」，令美國觀眾為之傾倒。

　　不久之前，溫德爾（杰克·萊蒙 Jack Lemmon 飾）的父親在一場車禍中喪生，這讓溫德爾不得不千里迢迢的趕到意大利去處理父親的遺體。沒想到，在這場車禍中喪生的并不只父親一人，還有一個(gè)他聞所未聞的陌生女子。原來，這名女子是父親的舊情人，每一年，他們都會在意大利幽會。父親的出軌讓溫德爾十分震驚，同樣震驚的還有同樣趕來處理遺體的陌生女子的女兒帕米拉（朱麗葉特·米爾斯 Juliet Mills 飾）。

　　Dante has a beautiful relationship with his girlfriend Alice, but he has a bad one with Time: absorbed by the many commitments of his daily life, he always arrives late and has the impression that his life is flowing too quickly. According to him, the solution seems at hand: if he works hard enough, maybe in a few years he will be able to buy some time.

　　本片是根據(jù)實(shí)際發(fā)生的「少年殺害了祖父母事件」的構(gòu)思而改編成電影的嶄新故事。長澤扮演懶散奔放的母親·秋子，挑戰(zhàn)墮入了社會黑暗面的女人，而阿部サダヲ則飾演與秋子沒有結(jié)婚登記而同居的丈夫·遼，影片將重點(diǎn)刻畫秋子和她年幼的兒子·周平（郡司翔）之間所展開的關(guān)系。

　　In a small rural community local police officers Zoe and Patrick begin their shift as normal but it soon becomes clear that something is wrong. Strange events unfold before their eyes, residents begin behaving strangely and mass suicide panic spreads amongst the community they are trying to protect. Zoe and Patrick realise they are under siege from alien machines as they become cut off from the outside world. They are forced to do battle against these uninvited visitors. With the help of some of the residents Zoe and Patrick begin unravelling the mystery and soon discover it is not all as it seems. Can Zoe and Patrick save their community and the outside world from extinction?
